I've never taken the contraceptive pill before. Can I start before the start of my next period?

I know that you're supposed to take the first one at the beginning of your next period, and I've just picked up my first prescription.

But can I take it now - I'm just reaching the end of this month's period and I want to be protected straight away.

If I start now what difference will it make apart from my period being a couple of days later next month?

I know there are alternative ways of protection - but I'd like to know the answer to this question.
Answer:
You should see a doctor before you go on the pill to ensure you have the right one
the pill only works if you take it exactly when your supposed to, like the same time each day,use condoms till then, only do as you were told,so many ppl get pregnant on the pill, they kid themselves that they are just really fertile when really they are just careless!!
Well, I was told that you are not fully protected till you finish your first pack, regardless of when you start taking the pills.
Read and abide by the instructions..they are there to stop you getting pregnant which you will do if you take them as you suggest. You may not be protected if you rely on the pill alone..use a condom as well until you have your next period.
yes you can start the pill midway through a cycle but they reccomend using condoms for 7 days thats the advice i recieved at family planning clinic x
i would do as it recomends otherwise it could muck up your body and not protect you as it should. if you are really that desperate go to a doctor for advice and if you cant start take it sooner then they can give you free condoms for the meantime
you must wait till the first day of your next period
yes, you may techinically start your pills at any time. i'm surprised your doctor didn't tell you when to start, but oh well. your pills should have a piece of paper that comes with them that will tell you when to start, but in general if you start the first day of your period you are protected immediately and if you start at any other time you need backup for AT LEAST 7 days. some would recommend a month and i don't think that's a bad idea.
go see your gyncologist dear!they will ell you exactly what you can have %26 not to!different contracptive pills work different ly on various women.%26 you never mentioned how old you are, so none of us can be specific!

I've never had intercourse, but today i got fingered and i'm bleeding brown blood...HELP???

i was hanging out with a very close friend of mine and she was fingering me with one finger (which happened once before) and it was all good, but when she pulled out she said ur bleeding. i didnt think it was a big deal, but that was about 8 hours ago, and i'm still bleeding, not a constant flow, but it's more than i expected. and the blood is a brownish color. i'm really freaked out. should i get help? is this normal? i'm so confused, someone please help me!!!!
Answer:
It sounds very much like you have started your period, thats happen to me once with my partner, he is male though. But still same thing he was doing that to me , it was brown for about 2 days then u get the usual red come through dont panic no big

If it is stinging then u have a cut or a frcition burn best thing for that is cranberry juice i kniw its nasty but a few cups will do
I think you started your period
pour some water and if you get a burning sensation you would had a small wound ,or else it would be the perods
one question are you a lesbian?
Maybe it a start to have your period. Do you feel pain when you urine. If yes maybe it a small wound.
You more then likely lost your virginity. if the bleeding persist you might want to consult a doctor. Another option is you may have just started your period. Don't freak out that will throw your hormones out of wack as well. good luck.
The bleeding could be due to your friend slightly scratching you inside. Or she may of done it a little faster than the last time and also gone deeper. Wait til morning (or 24hrs) and if there is still bleeding, see a doctor.
Are you lesbian or bi sexual?

Dont panic, it might just be the blood from breaking your hymen or it could be you rperiod starting.
If tomorro your still bleeding, go straight to your doctor.
Better safe than sorry.

I've never had an orgasm, only when i'm on my own?

I don't get it when my boyfriend and I are in the sex act it is alright. However, i've never had an orgasm not to mention i'm sometimes not even wet. Only when i'm on my own I can have an orgasm, I just wish I would enjoy sex and actually have a climax. Is this going to happen forever?
Answer:
The best way to "teach" him how to bring you to orgasm is to take his hand and show him. Not only will you teach him what you really like, you'll also turn him on because guys love it when a woman is confidant enough to touch themselves. Keep in mind that the chances of him accidentally getting you off are slim. How is he supposed to know what will work if you don't tell/show him?
Try self stimulation while you are having sex
you are fine, that just means that your bf Sucks in S.E.X. and cant get you going.
let your boyfriend know what you do to get your self off and let him try maybe more forplay
no it won't b 4evr. find u a guy with a curve to his penis. its wondrful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...
Try lying on top and don't let him move, then imagine you are on your own. After the first orgasm your body melts like butter and you can let him finish. It is much easier for me to relax once I have held him down. Then it's so much fun I go again while he is finishing. It won't last forever sex is something to perfect. A woman can have six different orgasms! Not kidding! I've only had like two of those, but I've got plenty of time to improve. Good luck!
First of all, that is very normal, so don't feel like you are different. Second, whatever it is you do on your own, you should show your boyfriend, or at least explain to him, so that he will know how to do it to you. He'll appreciate it. If he's a good guy, he'll want to please you, and being able to make you happy will make him happy. Does he know that he needs to give you a lot of attention before you actually have intercourse? Make sure to tell him that, too. If you are patient with each other, you can figure it out together. Good luck!
If you're not getting wet to begin with, (short of a medical condition or post-manopausal stage), you might simply not be with the right guy for you. Unfortunately, sexual chemistry isn't something you can choose to feel. Even a guy who might otherwise be perfect for you, may not be your ideal bed partner. If this is the case, you might simply have to move on.
I'm enjoying these answers! I have the very same problem so don't feel alone! I've heard over 50% of women don't orgasm during intercourse. Oral sex usually gets me to orgasm- although I don't get it often enough. Also the first woman's answer can work, but a vibe is even better! Good luck. If you love your partner as much as I do then you won't let the "bad" sex end your relationship, just work together to try to improve it.
Most young men and those beginning new relationships experience premature ejaculation . About 29 percent of men repeatedly experience P.E. Additional stress can be caused after this first encounter, because the man might be self-conscious and feel he needs to perform better.

Often young men experience "premature ejaculation” during their first sexual encounters, but eventually learn ejaculatory control. Because there is great variability in both how long it takes men to ejaculate and how long both partners want sex to last.

There is often a temptation for men to attempt penetration as soon as they have a partial erection, just in case they lose it. The anxiety and movement involved is often enough to cause them to lose anyway, and they would have done better if they had waited until their feelings of sexual tension and arousal had increased, and they had developed a full erection. Even if they manage penetration, fears that they are going to lose their erection will likely result in just that happening. Alternatively, they may try thrusting rapidly or sexually fantasising, which may lead to premature ejaculation. It is important to take your time, as hurrying often results in disappointment.

Take time in cuddling and pleasuring each other before trying penetration. Whatever form of pleasuring is acceptable to you both is OK. Stroking the penis, or having it stroked by a partner, may help a man get a firm erection more effectively. Both men and women often enjoy being stroked and caressed. Start with light touch, just with the fingertips, along the back and sides, down the back of the legs and neck. Don't just rush to touch breasts or genitalia, although you may both want to do this later.

The man-on-top (missionary) position can be fun, but it's harder for most men to control their ejaculatory timing, because they have to hold themselves up. Try making love with the woman on top. This position is more relaxing for men, and it often helps ejaculatory control.

If still you are unable to control ejaculation time, then try to use herbal medications to treat premature ejaculation as herbal medications having no side effects and treat PE properly. One of the best herbal medication for premature ejaculation is Enlast. Enlast has been uniquely formulated with a variety of natural herbal remedies, vitamins, amino acids and flavoring to create an incredibly effective and powerful lubricant. One of the main ingredients in assisting with the sexual boost is L-Argynine; Arginine, an amino acid that has been demonstrated to aid in the increase of sexual stimulation. Try being on top of him, that way you can adjust yourself so you rub your clit against his body. You could also touch yourself if he is on top, or you are doing doggy style.

Sucks that you are not wet. What about forplay? Maybe he needs to touch you more to get you in the mood.

I've never been one for sweets but recently i've started to get nausa if i dont eat something sweet everyday?

does that make any since...i start to feel confused and nausea and need something sweet to feel better.what is wrong with me?
p.s. IM NOT PREGO...dont even say anything about that!
Answer:
It could possibly be that you have low sugar problems. My mom always gets light headed and weird if she doesn't have something sweet to eat.
Nothing is wrong, but you do not crave sweets it is all in your mind. Have you blood levels checked by a dr. Apples can cure your sugar high, they have tons of sugar
There's probably nothing wrong with you...... I've always been like that. In elementary school I called it my "daily dose of chocolate." I get mad and irritable, nauseous, and grouchy without atleast one thing sweet a day!
Hmmm since ur not pregnant...if it's that time of the month then that may have something to do with it...I dunno go see a Dr. to be on the safe side....maybe ur sugar or something needs to be checked.
Are you also thirstier than usual and voiding more often? You may have diabetes. See your doctor.
Possibly you are having trouble with your blood sugar levels. I would go to the dr. to be tested.
check to see if you have a blood sugar level

I've heard of woman having orgasms from being tazered is this possable?

Answer:
I'm sure it's possible, however I wouldn't advise to try it, without first making sure your partner is completely okay with it, and having looked up everything you need to know. I'm guessing, it would have to be a special, toy meant for the purpose, don't go by a tazer and just shock her and see what happens! Try and find everything you can on it, too, because, it could be very dangerous and require medical attention if you're not careful.
Why don't you stick your finger in an electrical socket and find out if it works for YOU?
Depends where she tazered, I'd guess!!! Bizarre question!
yes! i believe there was one, unfortunately for you she was your mom, good luck.
I am sure you would pee your pants too.
yeah that's totally possible...every feeling we experience is the result of electrical signals flowing thru our nervesto our brain and back. if tazered in the right place this is definitely possible. Here's another sorta related piece of information...when me were hung there are reported cases where they had orgasms from being hung.. kinda funny
It isn't possible. I am sure that is the last thing you are concerned about.
no thats stupid

I've had the same jeans on for 4rrrr days now.Is that bad?

Answer:
Im gonna go to a disco in the middle of the town
Everybodys dressing up Im dressing down

Lifes one big circle, and it does end
When it ends will you still be my friend?
Im not making a fool of myself
I sed, Im not making a fool of myself

So, when you look in the mirror
Reflecting back at you someone that you dont know
Oh thats just made your head spin around
So get yourself together, yeah
Get your feet back on the gro-o-o-o-o-ound

I've had the same jeans on for four days now
Im gonna go to a disco in the middle of the town
Everybodys dressing up Im dressing down

klass song...... lol
yeah its pretty grim
Oh no, it's not bad, it is very very good.
dats nasty
not good - wash them! x
Yeah ur jeans are probably dirty and stink.
aren't u starting to stink?
eww that is nasty
Smelly and horrible.
There is nothing wrong with that, as long as your jeans aren't soiled or anything like that. If they are, then I would wear different pants tomorrow.
Nope, I think it's fine. There is a song out about that very subject so wearing the same jeans for 4 days is probably quite trendy in reality so I will start doing it too.

In fact, I will go one better and start wearing my underpants for 4 days in a row as well. Hey I will be twice as cool and trendy! Yaaaaay!
aaarrgh... only 4 days ! you defo need to get yourself some more pants... guess its not bad if there the only pants you got but hope you need to invest in some others soon.
my bf never washes his jeans and it drives me mad. he says they are more comfy when they have been worn a while and that they hang better. and that they lose their ability to fade correctly if they are washed.

what a load of cr*p!!!

he looks like a tramp and i tell him this and then wash his jeans when he's asleep.

he goes mad but i am happier!!
as long as they're not dirty and you haven't been to a bar or around people who have been smoking it's fine! I usually try to switch it up though, like skip a few days between wears, but not washing them in between.
probably, and its probably time to change your pants
Only if you sleep in them as well!
You will be lifting by now.
Sniff, sniff.
Yep, the smell is oozing out of the monitor!
lol
If you are comfortable with that, it's probably just fine except that the crotch may become more soiled due to normal vaginal discharge.
as long as you are changing your underwear then it doesn't really matter
nah i wear the same crap all the time, im broke as hell i say wear em until they crawl off into the washing machine by themselves
whats 4rrrr
Just a tad! If that was my b/f I would kick he's butt!!
Not bad exactly but pretty smelly I should imagine.
As long as your changing your underwear every day and they don't have loads of stains on then its not too bad. I'd say 4 days would probably be the maximum though so maybe its time to change!
yer that's not good. Put them in the wash!!
that's not bad and it's very good for the environment as well.
jeans are really bad for the environment when drying.
(tumble drying)
It's not so bad, if your jeans aren't covered in mud and crap like that. I wear my jeans for about 4 days then change them - I certainly don't have enough pairs of jeans to change them every day, and anyway, they're jeans.

I've had my period for 7 days when it's normally no longer than 5, should I call my doctor?

I am not on birth control of any kind, or on any medications otherwise. My flow isn't very heavy. Should I call my doctor, it just seems really strange to me that all of a sudden it's long like this.
Answer:
I wouldn麓t worry yet, maybe after more than 10 days, but even that can happen for no apparent reason
Nothing to worry about. If something happens that you continue to bleed, yes see a doctor. You're body could be changing to start having 7 day periods.
maybe because your growing up! if it goes over 12 go see a doctor idmediately!
